The announcement made on 28 November 2014, 5 December 2014, 23 February 2015 and 6 March 2015 on the abovementioned subject matter refer. The Board of Directors of VCB wishes to announce that the Company’s public shareholding spread as at 25 May 2015 of 19.143% is still not in compliance with the public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”). In this regard, Bursa Securities had granted the Company a further extension of time of six (6) months until 3 June 2015 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement. The Company has taken actions to address the shortfall in the public spread which includes, inter-alia, a disposal of VCB shares by the major shareholder and private placement of 6.05% of new VCB shares by VCB. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Proposed Private Placement of the balance of 3.95% placement shares is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2015. The Company will make the necessary announcements in relation to the status of its efforts to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread requirement in accordance with the listing requirements.
