We refer to the article dated 5 June 2014 appearing in The Star (StarBiz) entitled “IJM Land to be Privatised?”.

We wish to advise that it is part of the Group’s initiatives to explore long term strategies to enhance shareholders’ value. We further advise that the Company is contemplating and will continue to evaluate corporate proposals, including the possible privatization of IJM Land Berhad (“IJML”), a 64.16%-owned subsidiary. Whilst no decision has been made by the Board of Directors of the Company at this juncture, any decision made will take into consideration, among others, the future growth of the Group, future funding requirements within the Group; and also the prevailing market conditions.

In the event that the Company proposes to undertake any corporate proposal, including the privatization of IJML, the Company will make an appropriate announcement in accordance with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
