Reference is made to the newspaper article published on the cover page of The Edge Financial Daily dated 21 July 2014 re: A&W PJ to make way for RM263m office towers. The Company wishes to clarify on the following paragraph reflected in the said Article: (i) Paragraph 6: “The project will mark KUB Malaysia’s maiden foray into the property market.” The Company wishes to rectify that the sentence should be read as follows: “The project will mark KUB Malaysia’s Property, Engineering & Construction (PEC) is one of the Group’s major sectors. Amongst the subsidiaries involved in the property industry are Peraharta Sdn Bhd and KUB Development Sdn Bhd. (ii) Paragraph 7: “… the disposal of the group’s entire stake in A&W Restaurants (Thailand) Co. Ltd. for “not less than RM5 million” will be completed in the next two months, once the relevant due diligence and other processes are completed.” The Company wishes to rectify that the sentence should be read as follows: “… the disposal of the group’s entire stake in A&W Restaurants (Thailand) Co. Ltd. for “not less than RM5 million” will be completed As clarification, the “not less than RM5 million” is the targetted price set by the Management for the said disposal based on A&W Restaurants (Thailand) Co. Ltd.’s (‘AWT’) networth and the Company’s investment value. This announcement is dated 22 July 2014.
