Pursuant to Paragraph 9.19(23) of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements, YTL Corporation Berhad (“YTL Corp” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that Batu Tiga Quarry Sdn Bhd (“Batu Tiga Quarry”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Cement Berhad (“YTL Cement”) which in turn is a subsidiary of YTL Corp, has acquired the entire issued and paid-up share capital of Mobijack Sea Sdn Bhd (“Mobijack”) comprising 100 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each, for a total cash consideration of RM5,250,001.00 ("the Acquisition"). As a result of the Acquisition, Mobijack has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Batu Tiga Quarry and an indirect subsidiary of YTL Cement and YTL Corp. Mobijack was incorporated on 24 November 1986 with an authorised share capital of RM25,000.00 comprising 25,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each. Mobijack will be principally involved in granite quarrying. Mobijack owns a piece of leasehold land held under PN 50589, Lot 6339, Mukim Serendah, Daerah Ulu Selangor measuring 311,914 square metres. The Acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings, gearing and net assets of YTL Corp Group for the current financial year. None of the Directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect in the Acquisition.
