Further to the Company's announcements on 3 April 2012 and 4 April 2012 in relation to the contingent asset of RM3,689,129.40, the Board of Innoprise Plantations Berhad wishes to announce the following: 1. Based on written legal opinion, Serijaya Industri Sdn. Bhd. ("SJI"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company ("IPB") has the right to claim for loss of profit and damages�from its sub-contractor, Asiatic Lumber Industires Sdn. Bhd. ("ALISB") arising from a shortfall in guaranteed�volume of log production under a Log Extraction Sub-Contract between SJI and ALISB.� While ALISB had earlier claimed that due to changes in government procedures, it was impossible to fulfill the obligations, they have since agreed to honour their obligation at the Board Meeting held on 28 May 2012.� Hence, the contingent asset had been recognised in the second quarterly report ended 30 June 2012. 2. ALISB is a person connected to Mr Nip Wing Hon, a director of the Company.� Mr Nip Wing Hon and his wife Puan Samiyah Bte Muin @ Salmiyah jointly held all the equity interest in ALISB.� Hence, ALISB is regarded as a related party. 3. As of todate, ALISB has yet to settle the outstanding sum of RM3,689,129.40 with SJI. 4. SJI has on�15 October 2012�issued a letter of demand giving ALISB seven (7) days to settle the said outstanding sum, failing which SJI will institute legal proceedings against ALISB. 5. Furthermore, SJI will take step to terminate the Log Extraction Sub-Contract if ALISB failed to settle the said outstanding sum and in view of the fact that they have continuously failed to meet the guaranteed volume of log production. 6.
