The Board of Directors (“Board”) of SMRT wishes to announce that the due diligence review on MEGB and its material subsidiaries is still ongoing. Pursuant thereto, the Company had on 23 December 2014 written to the Board of MEGB for an additional extension of time to conduct the due diligence for a further period of sixteen (16) days from 24 December 2014 to 9 January 2015 (“Extension of Time”). The Board of MEGB had on the same date granted the Company the Extension of Time. The Board of SMRT will make further announcements on the development pertaining to the Proposed Acquisition in due course. This Announcement is dated 24 December 2014.
