Reference is made to the announcements made by Emas Kiara Industries Berhad (“EKIB” or “the Company”) on 30 May 2014 and 16 June 2014 respectively on the subject matter. Unless otherwise defined herein, all terms and abbreviations used in this announcement shall be the same as those defined in the previous announcements. The Board of Directors would like to inform that the JV had on 18 December 2014 received a Letter of Acceptance (“LOA”) dated 17 December 2014 from the Office of the Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Government of Assam, notifying that the JV’s bid for a project known as “Flood management of river Ranganadi along river training with work on both bank embankments in Lakhimpur District (Assam), vide Package No: ASWR/Rng/2014/11 for the contract price of Rs: 85,59,45,280.00 (equivalent to RM47,162,584.93) only”, had been accepted by the Water Resources Department, Government of Assam. The JV is required to furnish a performance security for an amount of Rs: 4,27,97,264 (equivalent to RM2,358,129.25) only within 21 days from the receipt of the LOA, valid up to 28 days from the expiry of defects liability period, and sign the contract in relation to the Project. The full details in respect of the Project would be announced by the Company upon execution of the contract. This announcement is dated 22 December 2014. | |
