INTRODUCTION Bumi Armada Berhad (“Bumi Armada” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its subsidiaries have in October 2012 secured firm contracts valued at approximately RM147 million, and another RM102 million if all the extension options are exercised.� DETAILS OF THE CONTRACTS 1.�� Bumi Armada Navigation Sdn Bhd (“BAN”) has secured a contract from Total Gabon, a Gabonese company, for the charter of one (1) Accommodation ����� Workboat, namely Armada Firman 2 to support Total Gabon’s offshore operations in Gabon. The contract is for an initial charter period of three (3) months ����� at approximately RM12 million, and three (3) options for Total Gabon to extend the charter period for one (1) month each for a further aggregated contract ����� value of RM11 million. 2.�� BAN has also secured a contract from Diamond S.A. (“Diamond”), a company based in the Republic of Congo, for the charter of one (1) Anchor Handling ����� Towing Support Vessel, namely Armada Tuah 82 to operate in the offshore of the Republic of Congo. The contract is for an initial charter period of 2 years ����� at approximately RM36 million, and two (2) options for Diamond to extend the charter period for one (1) year each for a further aggregated contract value of ����� RM35 million. 3.�� BAB has also secured two (2) contracts from Rawabi Swiber Offshore Marine Pte Ltd (“RSOM”), a joint venture company based in Singapore between ����� Rawabi Holdings and Swiber Holdings Limited, for the charter of one (1) Anchor Handling Towing Support each, namely Armada Tuah 84 and Armada ����� Tuah 85 to�operate within the Saudi Arabia waters in Arabian Gulf or Red Sea. The total contracts worth approximately RM43 million is for a period of ����� one (1) year firm each. 4.�� Armada Offshore OSV Limited has secured a contract from Diamond for the charter of one (1) Accommodation Work Barge, namely Armada Hibiscus to ����� operate in the offshore of the Republic of Congo. The contract is for an initial charter period of two (2) years at approximately RM56 million, and two (2) ����� options to extend the�charter period for one (1) year each for a further aggregated contract value of RM56 million. hereinafter collectively referred to as “Contracts”. The vessels under the Contracts are expected for delivery between October to December 2012.� FINANCIAL EFFECTS The Contracts with and without the exercise of the extension options are expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Bumi Armada Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2012 and the financial periods thereafter for the duration of the Contracts. RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTRACTS The risks associated with the Contracts are normal operational risks which can be mitigated through Bumi Armada’s system of project management and internal business controls.
