RHB Capital Berhad is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, RHB Bank Berhad (the “Bank”) had on 8 May 2015 completed its first issuance of RM500.0 million subordinated notes (“Subordinated Notes”) in nominal value under its MCMTN Programme. The Subordinated Notes, rated AA3 by RAM Rating Services Berhad, are issued for a tenure of 10 non-callable 5 years with a fixed coupon rate of 4.75% per annum, payable semi-annually throughout the entire tenure. The Subordinated Notes will qualify as Tier 2 capital of the Bank in accordance with the Capital Adequacy Framework (Capital Components) issued by Bank Negara Malaysia on 28 November 2012. Proceeds raised from the Subordinated Notes will be utilised for the Bank’s general working capital and other corporate purposes. This announcement is dated 8 May 2015. |
