The Board of Directors of MQ (“Board”) wishes to announce that the Company has on 27 February 2015 entered into a HOA with CSSB for the proposed utilisation of Star Acres Sdn Bhd (“Star Acres”), a newly acquired wholly-owned subsidiary of MQ, as the entity to form a joint venture with CSSB (“Proposed Joint Venture”) to acquire from CSSB a fifty (50)-year registered lease under the National Land Code 1965 (“Lease”) over a portion of land measuring approximately 10.727 acres (to exclude the portion of land with completed shop building erected thereon of which the size of the area is to be determined later) in Malacca (“Project Land”) (“Proposed Lease Acquisition”) (the Proposed Joint Venture and Proposed Lease Acquisition are collectively referred as the “Proposals”). We refer to the announcement made on 19 January 2011, wherein Masteel announced that the Company had entered into a Heads of Joint Venture Agreement (“JVA”) with KUB Malaysia Berhad (Company No. 6022-D) (“KUB”), a company listed in the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad whereby KUB and Masteel (“Parties”) have agreed to combine their capabilities and resources to co-operate and collaborate with each other in the joint-venture company, Metropolitan Commuter Network Sdn Bhd (“MCN”) to pursue the rail transit network project in the Iskandar Development Region (“Project”) and the Parties are desirous of submitting a joint proposal for the Project to the Government of Malaysia (“Proposal”). Pursuant to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's letter dated 4 August 2006, we wish to announce the status of the JVA as follows:- MCN has submitted an updated proposal on 8th January 2015 to the Ministry of Transport. According to Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, the Transport Minister, his Ministry will speed up the reviewing and updating process of the Project and recommend its re-tabling to the Economic Council by this year. The Minister also indicated that the MCN's proposed system compliments the ongoing Gemas-Johor Bharu double tracking project, the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail, Johor-Woodlands, Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) and the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system for the economic corridor. | |

| (i) Consequent upon the change in the financial year-end to 31 March 2015 as announced to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 28 February 2014, there are no comparative figures disclosed for the current quarter and the cumulative period-to-date of the preceding attributable quarter/year.
