| Working experience and occupation | He began his apprenticeship in the steel business in 1964 under the tutelage of his late father, Mr Hong Kim Kee, the founder of the Kin Kee group of companies. Through his leadership and guidance, the Kin Kee group of companies has transformed from collection of scrap iron into a conglomerate of integrated steel based companies involved in the trading and manufacturing of a wide variety of steel products. His involvement in the steel industry for more than 30 years has earned him the recognition and respect as one of the leading businessmen in the steel industry.
