Further to the Company’s announcement dated 15 September 2014, the Board of Directors of HIB (“Board”) wishes to announce that the Court had on 24 September 2014 granted the stay of winding-up order until the hearing for the appeal proper against the winding-up order which the Court had fixed on 3 December 2014. On 25 September 2014, WOC vide its solicitors had attended the hearing for the application to set aside the judgment obtained by the Petitioner against WOC on 27 March 2012. The Court had postponed the hearing to 1 October 2014 as the Judge was on leave on the hearing set for 25 September 2014. On 1 October 2014, WOC vide its solicitors had attended the hearing for the application to set aside the judgment obtained by the Petitioner against WOC on 27 March 2012. At the hearing, the solicitors for WOC had withdrawn the said application. Pursuant thereto, the Court had awarded a cost of withdrawal amounting to RM500 to the Petitioner. On 8 October 2014, WOC vide its solicitors had attended the hearing for the winding-up proceeding. At the hearing, the Court had ordered WOC to be wound up with the costs of RM3,000 and the Official Receiver to be appointed as the Liquidators. Save for the above, the Board also wishes to announce that there has been no material development on the status of defaults as at the date of this announcement and the Company will announce further developments on the above matter in due course.
