We refer to the announcements dated 20 June 2013, 1 July 2013, 23 July 2013, 20 August 2013 and 28 August 2013 in relation to the Proposed Acquisition of NBPOL via a Partial Offer. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Kulim, RHB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to provide the following update on the final number of acceptances received after the closing of the offer period for the Partial Offer at 5.00 p.m. (PNG Time) on 28 August 2013 for acceptances in PNG and at 1.00 p.m. (UK time) on 28 August 2013 for acceptances received within the UK (collectively referred to as “Closing Date”). As at the Closing Date, acceptances in respect of a total of 18,749,285 Offer Shares representing approximately 12.5% of the total issued paid-up share capital of NBPOL were received. As at the time of this announcement, Kulim is still restricted by the Orders issued by the SCPNG as set out in the announcement dated 20 August 2013 and Kulim has commenced proceedings in the National Court of PNG to have the Orders set aside to enable it to complete the Partial Offer.
