This announcement is dated 19 August 2013. We refer to the announcements dated 19 November 2012 (“Initial Announcement”), 22 November 2012, 23 January 2013, 29 January 2013, 7 February 2013, 11 March 2013, 25 March 2013, 26 March 2013, 23 April 2013 and 31 May 2013 in relation to the Proposed Merger. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Scope, AmInvestment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that Scope and Matang had mutually agreed on 17 August 2013 to extend the time period of the Business Merger Agreement dated 19 November 2012 for a further period of nine (9) months from 19 August 2013 to facilitate further discussions and re-negotiations of the terms of the Proposed Merger. In addition, Scope confirms that Matang shall have the rights to negotiate and to explore with other parties to realise the value of its assets/shares during the said extension period. | |
