The Board of Directors of Perwaja Holdings Berhad (“PHB”) wishes to announce that on 13 June 2013, the Kuala Lumpur High Court has allowed a summary judgment in favour of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“Petronas”) and dismissed PHB’s wholly owned subsidiary Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd’s (“Perwaja Steel”) application for interim injunction. The Court has allowed Petronas for application of summary judgment for the sum of RM146,138,690.52 and with simple interest of 4% p.a. from the date of judgment till full settlement. The Board of Directors of PHB has deliberated and has decided to file an appeal against the decision and stay of execution on the decision by 17 June 2013. The Board of Directors of PHB wishes to inform that the relevant provision has been made in the income statements of the Company. This announcement is dated 14 June 2013.
