Pursuant to paragraph 8.23(1)(ii) and Practice Note 11 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Board of Directors of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad ("TCMH") wishes to announce the aggregate amount of financial assistance provided by TC Capital Resources Sdn Bhd ("TCCR"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TCMH, for the first quarter ended 31 March 2014 as set out below: (i) Paragraph 3.1 of Practice Note 11 Type of Financial Assistance: Loans extended to customers in the ordinary course of TCCR's business as a licensed money lender. Amount of loans provided during the first quarter ended 31 March 2014: RM5,528,300.00 (ii) Paragraph 3.3 of Practice Note 11 As set out in the table attached below. The provision of financial assistance as set out above does not have any significant impact on the earnings and cashflow of TCMH Group for the year ending 31 December 2014.

Further to the Company’s announcement dated 24 March 2014, the Board of Directors of HIB wishes to inform that HGSB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HIB, had on 2 May 2014 been served a Writ and Statement of Claim from Ivory Ocean Enterprise (“the Plaintiff”). 1. Date of the presentation of the Writ and Statement of Claim and the date of the Writ and Statement of Claim was served on the listed issuer, its subsidiary or major associated company. The Writ is dated 4 April 2014 and the Statement of Claim is dated 27 March 2014. Both were served on HGSB vide Messrs David Lai & Tan, being the solicitors for the Plaintiff, on 2 May 2014. 2. Particulars of the claim under the Writ and Statement of Claim, including the amount claimed for and the interest rate. The claim pursuant to the Writ and Statement of Claim is as below: (a) the sum of RM870,400.80 as at 21 October 2013; (b) interest accruing on the sum of RM870,400.80 at the rate of 5% per annum calculated from the date of judgment until the date of full and final settlement; and (c) costs on the solicitors and client basis. 3. Details of the default or circumstances leading to the filing of the Writ and Statement of Claim on the listed issuer, its subsidiary or major associated company. The filing of the Writ and Statement of Claim is a result of HGSB failing to settle the outstanding amount of RM870,400.80, being the outstanding amount for goods sold and delivered by Ivory to HGSB. 4. Whether HGSB is a major subsidiary of HIB HGSB is a major subsidiary of HIB. 5. Total cost of investment in HGSB. The total cost of investment was RM20,994,525.00. 6. Financial and operational impact of the Writ and Statement of Claim on the Group. (a) There is no material operational impact arising from the Writ and Statement of Claim; and (b) The financial impact resulting from the Writ and Statement of Claim will be the expected losses arising from the litigation as mentioned in Section 2 above. 7. Expected losses, if any, arising from the Writ and Statement of Claim The Company could be liable for the amount stated in Section 2 above. 8. Steps taken or proposed to be taken by HIB in respect of the Writ and Statement of Claim The Company is currently in discussion with its solicitors on the next course of action in respect of the above matter. Further to this, the Company has entered into a Memorandum of Appearance vide their solicitors on 8 May 2014. Further announcement on the development of the above matter will be made to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in due course.
