Further to the Company’s announcement on 17 October 2012 in relation to the compensation claim of RM3,689,129.40, the Board of Innoprise Plantations Berhad wishes to announce the following:

1. On 21 December 2012, Serijaya Industri Sdn Bhd (“SJI”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company (“IPB”) had called in RM500,000.00 from its Sub-contractor, Asiatic Lumber Industries Sdn Bhd’s (“ALISB”), Bank Guarantee in part settlement against the compensation claim of RM3,689,129.40.

2. ALISB is a person connected to Mr Nip Wing Hon, a former director of the Company. Mr Nip Wing Hon had resigned as a non independent non executive director of the Company on 27 November 2012.

3. As of today, ALISB has yet to settle the balance outstanding sum of RM3,189,129.40 with SJI.

4. SJI will institute legal proceedings against ALISB and will take step to terminate the Log Extraction Sub-Contract if ALISB failed to settle the said outstanding sum and continuously failed to meet the guaranteed volume of log production.

5. The Company will announce further development on the status of this outstanding sum at the appropriate time.
