We refer to the Karyon's renounceable rights issue of 89,826,812 warrants which was completed on 6 April 2007 and wish to announce that the Board of Directors ("Board") had on 4 October 2012 proposed and approved to revise the balance proceeds of approximately RM519,000 allocated for part financing for the construction costs of a new factory to be built on a piece of land acquired by our wholly-owned subsidiary, Hsing Lung Sdn. Bhd. (“Project”) to working capital for the Karyon Group. This revision was made as the Board has decided not to proceed with the construction of new factory due to the dispute on the estimated costs of construction with Cope Consultants Sdn Bhd. Furthermore, the Board is of the view that the continuation of this Project is not viable in view of the increasing cost of building materials. The proposed revision is not subject to any regulatory approval and/or the Company’s shareholders’ approval. The Board is of the opinion that the revision will not have any adverse effect on the future plans of the Group. This announcement is dated 4 October 2012. | |
