The Board of Directors of Sarawak Cable Berhad (“Sarawak Cable”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Trenergy Infrastructure Sdn Bhd (“Trenergy”) had on 8 April 2015 received a Letter of Award from Tenaga Nasional Berhad on its award to Trenergy and PTIS Engineering Sdn. Bhd. Joint Venture the Tender for the Establishment of 275KV AIS Tanjung Langsat Industrial Estate Switching Station, Johore for a contract sum of RM26,888,800.00 (Ringgit Malaysia: Twenty-Six Million Eight Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand Eight Hundred only).
The commencement date shall be 8 April 2015, with the time for completion of Four Hundred and Eighty-Three (483) days from the commencement date.
None of the Directors or major shareholders of SCB or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the abovementioned award. The Board is of the opinion that the abovementioned award is in the best interest of SCB and its group of companies.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of SCB Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2015.
