Further to the Company’s announcement dated 15 August 2014, the Board of Directors of HIB (“Board”) wishes to announce that on 15 August 2014, WOC vide its solicitors had filed an application for an injunction to stay the hearing of the HLBB Winding-Up Petition for the winding up on which is due on 4 September 2014. On 21 August 2014, the Court dismissed the said application for the injunction with a cost of RM8,000 to be paid by WOC. Pursuant thereto, the hearing of the HLBB Winding-Up Petition shall stay on the 4 September 2014 but the hearing of the application to set aside the judgment has not been fixed by the Court. On 20 August 2014, the High Court had adjourned the hearing of the stay application of the UOB Winding-Up Order to 15 September 2014 to be heard together with HIB’s shareholders' motion to amend its Notice of Appeal. On 15 September 2014, the Court postponed the hearing of the stay application for the UOB Winding-Up Order to 24 September 2014 as UOB had, via their solicitors, requested for the postponement in order for them to reply the Respondent’s affidavits which were filed and served on them on 11 September 2014 and 12 September 2014 respectively. On 27 August 2014, WOC vide its solicitors had filed an affidavit to oppose the HLBB Winding-Up Petition. On 4 September 2014, the Court had granted a postponement of the hearing of the opposition to the HLBB Winding-Up Petition to 8 October 2014. The Court had directed the Director of WOC and the shareholder of HIB to file their respective affidavits in reply to HLBB’s affidavit by 17 September 2014 and HLBB to file its affidavit in reply by 1 October 2014.
