We are pleased to announce that the Securities Commission Malaysia ("SC") had, vide its letter dates 9 July 2014, approved and authorised the proposed issuance by Northport of the ICPs and IMTNs under the Sukuk Musharakah Programmes. AFFIN Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad are the Joint Principal Advisers/Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Lead Managers for Northport's Sukuk Musharakah Programmes. The proceeds of the Sukuk Musharakah Programmes shall be utilised to finance Northport's capital expenditure requirement, refinance Northport's existing bridging financing and general working capital. The ICP Programme shall have a tenure of seven (7) years from the date of the first issue under the ICP Programme whilst the tenure of the Sukuk IMTN Programme is eighteen (18) years from the date of the first issue under the IMTN Programmes. This announcement is dated 11 July 2014.
