Reference is made to the announcements dated 8 February 2010, 14 October 2011, 21 December 2012, 21 August 2013 and 6 December 2013. CHHB wishes to update that, on 19 June 2014, the
Federal Court dismissed the Government of Malaysia's application for Leave to
Appeal with costs of RM10,000.00 filed pursuant to the Order of the Court of
Appeal dated 5 December 2013 wherein the Court of Appeal allowed CHHB’s appeal
against the High Court’s decision granting leave to the Government of Malaysia
to record Summary Judgement in the sum of RM22,617,311.49 together with
interest at 8% per annum and costs.
The effect of the decision of the Federal Court is
that the decision of the Court of Appeal is affirmed and the Government of
Malaysia’s claim now reverts to the High Court for trial.
