Pursuant to paragraph 9.03 of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Board of Directors of Shell Refining Company (Federation of Malaya) Berhad wishes to inform that a review on the recoverable amount of plant, property and equipment (cash generating unit) was performed in accordance to the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard 136: Impairment of Assets. An impairment loss of RM461 million (“the Impairment Loss”) was assessed, representing a write-down of plant, property and equipment to the recoverable amount, which is recognised in the Condensed Statement of Comprehensive Income as announced today in the ‘Interim Report for the three months ended 31 December 2014’.
