Unless otherwise stated, all definitions and terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the announcement dated 1 August 2014.
On 8 August 2014, UOB vide its solicitors had served the affidavit in reply and submissions in respect of the UOB Winding-Up Order to HIB. Pursuant thereto, HIB vide its solicitors had on 11 August 2014 requested for a postponement of the hearing date. The Court had granted the postponement to 20 August 2014. On 20 August 2014, the High Court had adjourned the hearing of the stay application of the UOB Winding-Up Order to 15 September 2014 to be heard together with HIB’s shareholders' motion to amend its Notice of Appeal. On 26 August 2014, Public Investment Bank Berhad on behalf of the Board of Directors of HIB and the Liquidators, announced that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad had vide its letter dated 25 August 2014, granted HIB an extension of time of six (6) months up to 1 December 2014, to submit a regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities. Save as disclosed above, there has been no material development since the previous announcement. The Company shall announce further developments on the above matter in due course.
