| Description | KHEE SAN BERHAD ("KSB") - Revaluation of Properties |
1. INTRODUCTION The Board of Directors of KSB wishes to announce that the Company has carried out a revaluation exercise on the Company’s and its subsidiaries’ (“the Group”) property, plant and equipment and investment properties (“Properties”). The Board of KSB had on 27th August 2014 approved the incorporation of the revaluation surplus, net of deferred tax, of RM4,241,955 in the consolidated financial statement of KSB for the financial year ended 30th June 2014. 2. PURPOSE OF THE REVALUATION The revaluation exercise was conducted for Corporate Accounting purpose, in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and Asset Valuation Guidelines issued under Section 377 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. 3. REVALUATION SURPLUS The details of the revaluation surplus arising from the revaluation are set out in the Table attached. 4. EFFECT OF THE REVALUATION SURPLUS ON NET ASSETS PER SHARE OF THE GROUP The revaluation resulted in a revaluation surplus of RM4,241,955 and represents an increase of 4.03% of the unaudited net asset value as at 30th June 2014 of the Group. The net assets per share of the Group increased from RM1.61 to RM1.67 per share as at 30th June 2014. 5. THE NAME OF THE VALUER The valuation of the Properties was conducted by Messrs. Pullprop Property Consultants. 6. DATE OF VALUATION The date of valuation report for all the properties was dated 30th June 2014. 7. DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION The valuation reports in relation to the Revaluation are available for inspection at the Registered Office of KSB at 54B, Damai Complex, Jalan Lumut, 50400 Kuala Lumpur during normal office hours from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) for a period of three (3) months from the date of this announcement.
