Further to the announcement on 10 June 2014 and 16 June 2014 by Bina Goodyear Berhad (“BGB”), the Board of Directors of BGB wishes to announce that the Court had on 18 August 2014 dismissed Seranta’s application to set aside the Judgement in Default dated 20 May 2014 with costs of RM500-00. As such, the Judgement against Seranta now stands at RM12,565.85 (excluding interest of 5% per annum) and costs of RM1,127.00.

The Board will seek legal advice as to the appropriate course of action in respect of the above. At this juncture, the Directors are of the opinion that the amount claimed is not expected to have a material business or operational impact on Seranta or BGB.
