Reference is made to our previous announcement dated 23 May 2014. In the previous announcement, we duly announced that Konsortium ABASS Sdn. Bhd. (“ABASS”) and Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (“KDEB”) had entered into an agreement in respect of the grant of the right for the abstraction of raw water (the “Agreement”). Perangsang Selangor holds 90.83% in Titisan Modal (M) Sdn. Bhd which in turn holds 100% in ABASS. In the said Agreement, KDEB shall grant ABASS the right to abstract water from the water sources specified in the license issued by Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (“LUAS”) to KDEB, which abstraction shall be carried out in accordance with the rights granted to ABASS under the Privatisation cum Concession Agreement dated 9 December 2000 and all the other agreements related thereto, for a period commencing from 1 June 2014 to 31 August 2014. The Agreement also provides that KDEB may, at its own discretion, grant renewals for further periods of three (3) months each. In this connection, Perangsang Selangor wishes to announce that ABASS today received a formal notification from KDEB informing that KDEB had agreed to renew the term of the Agreement for a further period of three (3) months commencing from 1 September 2014 to 30 November 2014. All of the other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain valid and applicable for the renewed period. Perangsang Selangor will in due course make the necessary announcements when there are further developments in this matter. This announcement is dated 27 August 2014. | |
