The Board of Directors of GPlus wishes to announce that on 26 May 2014, a Writ of Summons and a Statement of Claim had been served on Paradize Bazaar Sdn Bhd (“PBSB”), a wholly-owned subsdiary of GPlus, by Ms Lai Su-Mei (“LSM”) claiming payment of a sum of RM8,087,397.59 as at 14 April 2014 (without any element of interest mentioned therein) from PBSB for the return of monies advance by LSM to PB. The reason leading to the Writ of Summons was due to PBSB’s failure to settle the sum owing to LSM despite reminders of the debts. The expected losses are restricted to the amount claimed and would have a similar restricted material adverse impact on the financial and operational status of the Company and the Group. The Company and/or PBSB are seeking for legal advice to negotiate a settlement sum with LSM in consideration of LSM withdrawing the legal suit.

Reference is made to the above litigation announced under the last quarterly report for the financial period ended 31 March 2014. Olympia wishes to update the Exchange that the High Court of Kuala Lumpur had on 20 June 2014 fixed the matter for Decision and had recorded Judgment against Datin Wo Teng Koi @ Wu Shya Kwee in the sum of RM3,833,907.14 with interest of 5% from date of Judgment till full and final settlement with costs of RM120,000.00 and Datin Wo Teng Koi @ Wu Shya Kwee’s Counterclaim against JSSB had been dismissed with costs of RM30,000.00; as against Chang Kok Chuang the Judgment Sum of RM27,961,461.24 with interest of 5% from date of Judgment till full and final settlement with costs of RM170,000.00; as against Chong Chi Siong, the Judgment Sum of RM2,458,682.24 with interest of 5% from date of Judgment till full and final settlement with costs of RM70,000.00; and as against Dariel Loh Yuen Tuck the Judgment Sum of RM250,000.00 with interest of 5% from date of Judgment till full and final settlement with costs of RM50,000.00. JSSB’s claim against Dato’ Wong See Wah had been dismissed with costs of RM150,000.00 due to failure on the part of JSSB to prove, (i) conspiracy between all the 4 Defendants in the Current Suit and Dato’ Wong’s to gain control over Nauticalink Berhad; and (ii) for improper and illegal profit from entering into trading in all the 4 Defendants’ and Dato’ Wong’s accounts for the purposes of false trading and market rigging.The Defendants have until 19 July 2014 to file in their Appeal to the Court of Appeal.
