Zainuddin Bin Yahya (“4th Plaintiff”) vs. Denko Industrial Corporation Berhad (“Denko” or the “Company”) ("Defendant")
Reference is made to the announcements dated 11 September 2012, 25 October 2012, 14 November 2012, 4 February 2013, 18 October 2013, 6 November 2013, 16 December 2013 and 30 December 2013 in relation to the legal action commenced against the Company by the Plaintiffs. Denko wishes to announce the following in respect of the said legal action: By the agreement of parties, the Court will hear the application of Denko for the determination of legal questions, which if decided in favour of Denko will effectively disposed of the Plaintiffs’ claim. On 21 April 2014, the Court proceeded with the hearing of the application for the determination of legal questions with directions for the Plaintiffs to file their written submissions in reply by the 28 April 2014 and Denko to file subsequent submissions in reply (if necessary) by the 7 May 2014. The Trial dates set for 21, 22 and 23 April 2014 were therefore vacated and thereafter the Court fixed the decision date of the application of Denko for the determination of legal questions on the 11 May 2014 in the Johor Bahru High Court. Further announcements on any material development on the said legal action will be made as and when it is deemed appropriate to do so. This announcement is dated 22 April 2014.
