On 21 March 2014, Karambunai Corp Bhd (“KCB”) received notification from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore that it has struck off Scanply International Wood Products (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“SIWP”) from its register pursuant to Section 344(2) of the Companies Act, Singapore, with effect from 12 March 2014.

SIWP, a dormant company incorporated in Singapore, is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of KCB. Since SIWP is a dormant company, the striking-off of SIWP is not expected to have any material financial effect on the net assets and earnings of KCB for the financial year ending 31 March 2014.

None of the Directors and Substantial Shareholders of KCB and any persons connected with them have any interest, whether direct or indirect, in this transaction.

This announcement is dated 21 March 2014.
