Further to the Company’s announcement dated 2 January 2014 in compliance with Paragraph 4.1 of PN17, the Board of Directors of HIB wishes to announce that the Company had on 13 January 2014, appointed Grant Thornton Consulting Sdn. Bhd. as the Independent Monitoring Accountant to carry out an independent review over certain business transactions which are deemed prejudicial to the interest of the Company and its subsidiaries (“Group”) and in compliance with certain conditions imposed by some Lenders of the Group pursuant to their Restraining Order support letter. In addition, the Company together with its advisers are currently in the midst of discussion with the Lenders in finalising a debt restructuring scheme to restructure its total indebtedness. Premised on the First Announcement, the Company is required to submit the Regularisation Plan to the relevant authorities by 2 June 2014 which is approximately four (4) months from the date hereof. Save as disclosed above, there has been no material development since the previous announcement. This announcement is dated 4 February 2014. | |
