1. INTRODUCTION
    The Board of KSTB is pleased to announce that KSTB had been awarded a contract by Petrofac (Malaysia-PM304) Limited (“Petrofac”) for the provision of tubular handling equipment and services for PSC Operator’s Drilling Programme (“the Contract”) on 13 November 2013.

2. DURATION OF CONTRACT
    The effective date of the Contract shall be on 22 December 2013 and the Contract is for a primary period of five (5) years, i.e. until 21 December 2018.
3. VALUE OF CONTRACT
    There is no indication on the value of the Contract awarded by Petrofac as the value for such services depends on the demand and activity levels of Petrofac and the scope of services rendered by KSTB during the duration of the Contract.

4. BANK GUARANTEE
    KSTB is required to submit to Petrofac an unconditional bank guarantee in favour of Petrofac for an amount of RM6,396,582/- (Ringgit Malaysia: Six Million Three Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty-Two only) within fourteen (14) days from the date of the Contract.

5. RISK FACTORS
    Risk factors affecting the Contract include but are not limited to execution risks such as availability of skilled manpower and material, changes in the price of materials, and changes in economic, business and political conditions. KSTB will undertake all necessary efforts to mitigate the various risk factors identified.

6. FINANCIAL EFFECTS
    The Contract is not expected to have a material effect on the net assets and gearing of KSTB for the financial year ending 30 June 2014. The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of KSTB Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2014.
7. DIRECTORS’ AND MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS’ INTEREST
    None of the directors or major shareholders of KSTB or persons connected to them have any interest, direct and indirect, in the Contract.
8. DIRECTORS’ STATEMENT
    The Board of Directors of KSTB is of the opinion that the acceptance of the Contract is in the best interest of the Company.

KTSB has received written consent from Petrofac for the release of this announcement in relation to the Contract on 22 February 2014.
