EKIB wishes to update that during the Case Management on 5 March 2013, the Deputy Registrar has fixed 2 April 2013 as next Case Management date pending service of the Notice of Application of Extension of Time to Farcoll Estate Sdn Bhd’s lawyers. The said Application was not served on them as to-date, they have not served the Plaintiff’s lawyers with the sealed order which allowed them as the intervener of the said case. Nonetheless the Deputy Registrar has directed the Plaintiff’s lawyers to serve them. Accordingly, the said Application was served on 6 March 2013. The Board of Directors of Emas Kiara Industries Berhad (“the Company” or “EKIB”) wishes to announce that the Company has on 8 March 2013 acquired 6,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each, representing 60% of the issued and paid-up share capital in Melody Eco Park Sdn Bhd (“Melody”), a company in which EKIB holds 40% of its total equity, from a non-related third party for a total cash consideration of RM6,000.00. Melody was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1965 on 25 March 2011 and its paid-up share capital is RM10,000.00. Melody is currently dormant. Upon the completion of the above acquisition of shares, Melody shall become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company and EKIB would assume the liabilities of Melody amounting to RM43,200.00 only.
