Further to our announcement dated 17 October 2012, Perangsang Selangor wishes to announce the latest development on the above cases involving SAP Holdings Berhad (“SAP”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad (“KHSB”) which in turn is a subsidiary of Perangsang Selangor. In respect of the SAP’s application for assessment of damages, the abovementioned cases were fixed for Mention on 12 December 2012.
KHSB was informed by their solicitor that in light of the Court of Appeal’s decision in Civil Appeal No. W-02-2105-2011 on 7 December 2012 where the Court of Appeal had allowed the appeal in favour of Cergas Tegas Sdn. Bhd., and in furtherance to the option open to SAP to seek leave of the Federal Court to appeal to the Federal Court, the High Court and all parties agreed with KHSB’s solicitor’s proposal that this matter for assessment of damages in favour of SAP be kept in abeyance and not to be struck out at this juncture. In this connection, the matter now is fixed for Case Management on 5 February 2013. Perangsang Selangor will make the necessary announcement on further development on this matter in due course. | |
