Description: 1. INTRODUCTION
Pursuant to Paragragh 8.23(1) and Practice Note 11/2001 of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's Main Market Listing Requirements, the Board of Sarawak Plantation Berhad ("SPB") wishes to announce that the aggregate amount of financial assistance provided as at 30 June 2011 to facilitate the ordinary course of business of SPB Group's subsidiaries was RM17,017,438 made up as follows:
(a) Loan to subsidiaries amounted to RM5,017,438; and
(b) Corporate Guarantee in relation to banking facilities amounted to RM12,000,000.
2. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Share Capital
The provision of financial assistance has no effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of SPB Group for the quarter ended 30 June 2011.
Earnings
There is no material impact on the earnings of SPB Group for the quarter ended 30 June 2011.
Net Tangible Assets (NTA)
There is no material impact on the NTA of SPB Group for the quarter ended 30 June 2011.
