The Board of Directors of Kulim ("Board") wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad has approved its request for suspension of trading in the securities of the Company from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, 9 October 2014. The request for suspension is in view of Sime Darby Berhad's announcement on the possible acquisition by Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd of all Kulim's equity interest in New Britain Palm Oil Limited ("NBPOL"), a 48.97%-owned subsidiary of Kulim at an offer price of GBP7.15 per ordinary share in NBPOL to be satisfied wholly in cash ("Offer"). The Board will deliberate on the Offer and will make the necessary announcement by the end of today. This announcement is dated 9 October 2014. | |
