The Board of Directors of GCB wishes to announce that GCB has on 31 October 2014 invested an additional 9,500,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each at par fully paid-up in the share capital of its 90%-owned subsidiary, GCBSC by way of agreed discharge of amount of indebtness by GCBSC to the Company. Upon completion of the Investment, the Company shall hold 92.5% of the enlarged paid-up capital of GCBSC. The Investment is not expected to have any material effect on the shares capital, major shareholding, earnings, net assets and gearing of the company for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.
