RHB Capital Berhad is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, RHB Bank Berhad (“RHB Bank”), had on 3 October 2014, completed its first issuance of USD300.0 million senior unsecured notes (the “Senior Notes”) in nominal value under its USD5.0 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme (“EMTN Programme”) which was established on 23 September 2014. The Senior Notes are rated A3 by Moody’s Investors Service Inc. and BBB+ by Standard & Poor’s Rating Services. The Senior Notes were priced at 5-year US Treasury + 130 bps or a yield of 3.088% and will pay a coupon of 3.088% per annum. The Senior Notes will have a tenure of 5 years from the issue date, maturing on 3 October 2019 and are expected to be listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited and Labuan International Financial Exchange Inc. The net proceeds from the issuance of the Senior Notes will be utilised by RHB Bank and its subsidiaries for general working capital purposes. Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Branch, Merrill Lynch (Singapore) Pte Ltd and RHB Investment Bank Berhad are the Arrangers and Dealers for the issuance of the Senior Notes.
