Further to the Company’s earlier announcement on 14 July 2014 on the above subject matter, the Company wishes to announce that the Company has yet to comply with Paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Listing Requirements") in relation to the public shareholding spread requirement. The public shareholding spread of the Company as at 15 September 2014 stood at 14.29%. Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had via its letter dated 21 April 2014 granted AHB an extension of time of up to six (6) months until 30 September 2014 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement. In this respect, the Company had at its Extraordinary General Meeting held on 22 July 2014 obtained the approval from the shareholders to undertake a private placement of up to 38,047,500 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Atlan not exceeding 15% of the existing issued and paid-up share capital of Atlan (“Placement”). As AHB will need more time to complete the Placement process and hence, the Company had on 19 September 2014 submitted an application to Bursa Securities for a further extension of 6 months up to 31 March 2015 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement. The Company will make the necessary announcement in relation to the above in due course. This announcement is dated 30 September 2014. | |
