Bumi Armada Berhad (“Bumi Armada” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that EnQuest Heather Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Kraken Operator” or “EnQuest Heather”) together with EnQuest ENS Limited (“EnQuest ENS”), First Oil and Gas Limited, Nautical Petroleum Limited and Nautical Petroleum AG (collectively hereinafter referred to as “Charterers”) have via a Letter of Interim Agreement (“LOIA”), confirmed their intention to award a contract for the supply and operations of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (“FPSO”) to Bumi Armada UK Limited (“Bumi Armada UK”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bumi Armada (the “Contract”). The LOIA is construed as an Interim Agreement under which Bumi Armada UK and/or its affiliates is to proceed to commence work related to the Contract ahead of the final award and is subject to successful negotiations of the commercial terms and execution of the Contract expected before 30 November 2013. Bumi Armada UK was incorporated in United Kingdom (“UK”) on 5 October 2012 and is principally involved in the offshore oil and gas marine services. It has the full financial backing and support of the Company. EnQuest Heather and EnQuest ENS are wholly-owned subsidiaries of EnQuest Plc, the largest UK independent oil producer in the UK North Sea and listed on the London Stock Exchange, is a 60% owner and operator of the Kraken oil field. The other owners are UK listed Cairn Energy Plc (25%) and First Oil Plc (15%). Nautical Petroleum Limited and Nautical Petroleum AG are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Cairn Energy PLC, a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company and listed on the London Stock Exchange. First Oil and Gas Limited is an independent exploration and production company based in Aberdeen, UK.
