The Board of Directors of Bintai Kinden Corporation
Berhad (“BKCB”) wishes to announce that Bintai Kindenko Private Limited
(“BKPL”), a 69.82% owned subsidiary of the Company, has on 7 November 2013, completed
the subscription amount of Ks 29,010,000 (Myanmar Kyat : Twenty Nine Million
and Ten Thousand) in Bintai Kindenko Myanmar Company Limited (“BKMCL”),
representing 60% of the intended initial paid-up capital of Ks48,350,000
(Myanmar Kyat : Forty Eight Million Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand) in BKMCL.
Upon the aforesaid subscription, BKMCL has become a sub-subsidiary of the
Company. The notification in relation thereto has been received by the Company
on 20 November 2013.
BKMCL is private company incorporated in the Republic
of The Union of Myanmar and the intended principal activity of BKMCL is that of
mechanical & electrical engineering as well as installation, maintenance
and renovation of electrical and electronic goods.
The new incorporation will not have any material
effect on the earnings and net assets of BKCB Group for the financial year ending
31 March 2014.
None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of
BKCB or persons connected to them have any interests, direct or indirect, in
the new incorporation.
