Further to the announcement made on 16 May 2013 and 7 June 2013, the Board of Directors of HHB wishes to announce that on 15 July 2013, a Writ of Summon and Statement of Claim dated 12 July 2013 had been served on the Company by Messrs Rahmat Lim & Partners acting for Malayan Banking Berhad (“MBB”) and this shall be heard at the High Court of Kuala Lumpur on 24 July 2013. HHB is in the midst of seeking legal advice on the steps to be taken by the Company on the Summon. The RM5,209,071.56 sum as claimed by MBB has been accrued in the Company’s financial liability. If the claim of RM40,599,049.46 pursuant to the Corporate Guarantee (“CG”) provided by HHB to its former subsidiary, Hexagon Tower Sdn Bhd (In Liquidation) (“HTSB”) would subsequent crystallize, this liabilities would however have financial and operation impact to the Company.
