(1) INTRODUCTION WCT Berhad (“WCT” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, WCT Construction Sdn Bhd (“WCTC”), has on 18 March 2013 accepted a Letter of Award from Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (“the Employer”) for the Proposed Construction and Completion of the Commercial Office Buildings and External Works at Lot 2C5, Precinct 2, Putrajaya (“the Contract”). The awarded contract sum is RM315,000,000/=. (2) SCOPE OF WORKS The Contract is to construct and complete Commercial Office Buildings which consists of the following components:- a) 2 Blocks of commercial office comprising 7 storey podium office and overall 14 storey tower ; and b) 2 levels basement carpark The works of the Contract comprise foundation works, structural and architectural works, mechanical, electrical & plumbing services, external works and services, and landscape works. The Contract duration is 32 months from the site possession date. (3) FINANCIAL EFFECTS The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net assets for the financial years from 2013 to 2015. (4) DIRECTORS' AND/OR MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS’ INTERESTS The Directors and major shareholders of the Company and persons connected with them do not have any interest, direct or indirect, in the award of the Contract. (5) APPROVALS REQUIRED The award of the Contract is not subject to the approval of shareholders of the Company or any governmental or statutory authorities. (6) STATEMENT BY DIRECTORS The Directors of the Company are of the opinion that the acceptance of the award of Contract is in the best interest of the Company. This announcement is dated 18 March 2013.
