Further to our announcements dated 8 October 2012 and 17 October 2012, the Board of Directors of Berjaya Assets Berhad (“BAssets”) wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad has, vide its letter dated 16 January 2013, granted BAssets a further extension of time of 60 days until 13 March 2013 (“Extended Period”) to comply with the approved public shareholding spread of 20% (“Public Spread”). Currently, the public shareholding spread of BAssets stands at 18.63%. The Company will continue to engage all relevant parties in its endeavor to develop a plan to meet the Public Spread within the Extended Period. This Announcement is dated 17 January 2013. | |
