Contents: Reference is made to the Company's previous announcements on 11 and 18 January 2010 with respect to the above matter.
The Company has today received a copy of a letter dated 3 August 2010 from PSI wherein we are informed that PSI is fully committed to complete their proposed acquisition of shares in UBG Berhad held by Majestic Masterpiece Sdn Bhd and Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (through Concordance Holdings Sdn Bhd and PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd) via their wholly-owned subsidiary, Javace Sdn Bhd ("Proposed Transaction").
In the said letter, the Company is informed that PSI has received in-principle approval from the relevant regulators in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enable them to proceed with the Proposed Transaction, and is awaiting the formally documented approval, which is expected to be by mid-September 2010.
As at the date of this announcement, the Company has yet to receive any notice of takeover from PSI or Javace Sdn Bhd.
