BOUSTEAD HEAVY INDUSTRIES CORPORATION BHD (BHIC OR THE COMPANY) CONTRACT BETWEEN BHIC DEFENCE TECHSERVICES SDN. BHD. AND THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE MALAYSIA

We refer to the announcement made on 9 December 2014 with regard to the receipt of a letter dated 2 December 2014 ("the Letter") from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia ("MoD") by BHIC Defence Techservices Sdn Bhd ("BDTS"), a wholly-owned subsidiary held via BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd, awarding BDTS a contract for the maintenance and supply of spare parts for 76/62MM Oto Melara Gun, 40/70MM Oto Breda Gun, 30MM Oto Breda Gun and 102MM Light Decoy Launcher for the Royal Malaysian Navy  (“the Contract”) at a contract value of Ringgit Malaysia Three Million and Seven Hundred Thousand (RM3,700,000.00). 

The Company now wishes to announce that on  11 June 2015, BDTS and MoD  executed the formal Contract to the same effect.

There were no differences between the substance of the formal Contract and the Letter. The Contract is valid for three (3) years, effective from 9 December 2014 to 8 December 2017.

Accordingly the persons being nominated in the Notices will not be eligible for election as directors and their nominations will not be tabled at the forthcoming 36th AGM.

The Board's decision was arrived at after a vote with 3 Directors voting in favour, 2 Directors against and 2 Directors abstaining.
