As previously announced, the legal suits filed by Menuju Asas Sdn Bhd (“Menuju Asas”) for the sum of RM507,661.78 in Shah Alam High Court Suit No: 22-1558-2010 and the sum of RM9,960,492.17 in Shah Alam High Court Suit No: 22-1559-2010 respectively against HCM Engineering Sdn Bhd (“HCM”) were struck out with costs of RM6,000.00 (in total for both suits) by the High Court on 12.08.2014. Menuju Asas’s Amendment Application was also dismissed with costs of RM3,000.00 to be paid by Menuju Asas to HCM. Menuju Asas has on 08.09.2014 served HCM 3 notices of appeal appealing against the 3 decisions delivered by the High Court on 12.08.2014 (“3 appeals”). As an update, Protasco Berhad wishes to announce that the 3 appeals filed by Menuju Asas were dismissed by the Court of Appeal today with costs of RM15,000.00 (in total for 3 appeals) to be paid by Menuju Asas to HCM.
