Query Letter content: We refer to your announcement dated 8 March 2012 in respect of the
abovementioned matter.
In this connection, kindly furnish Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa
Securities") with following additional information for public release : -
1) Expected date of commencement of operations related to the production of
hydrocarbon (including liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons) from the Shelly Oil
Field by Sumatec, for and on behalf of CaspiOilGas LLP ("COG");
2) Whether the Shelly Oil Field has commenced production/operations. If so,
the date thereof.
3) Whether the JIA is renewable. If so, for how long.
4) The basis for the amount of Signature Bonus, Costs Reimbursement to
Markmore Energy (Labuan) Limited ("MELL") and Refundable Performance Deposit
respectively.
5) The source(s) of funds for the Signature Bonus, Costs Reimbursement to MELL
and Refundable Performance Deposit , pending the completion of the fund raising
exercise envisaged under the Proposed Regularisation Plan.
6) Details and nature of the costs to be reimbursed to MELL.
7) Whether the Refundable Performance Deposit is secured. If so, the details
and nature of the security.
8) Details of the distribution of profit between COG and Sumatec, in the event
the net production does not reach the threshold of 2,000,000 barrels within 2
years from the Payment Date.
9) The estimated total working capital requirement for the duration of the
JIA, and the sources of funding (apart from the fund raising exercise envisaged
under the Proposed Regularisation Plan).
10) Outcome of the legal, technical and financial due diligence review by
Sumatec on COG and MELL, and the legal, technical and financial due diligence
review by MELL on Sumatec.
