- Deviation of Results
The Board of Olympia Industries Berhad wishes to announce that the Group's audited financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2011 recorded a profit after tax of RM217,000 as compared to the Group's unaudited results of a loss after tax of RM3.992 million as announced on 24 August 2011.
The deviation in excess of 10.0% is due to reversal of tax provision of RM4.1 million on the disposal of lands by its wholly-owned subsidiary, City Land Sdn Bhd during the financial year. The Group has obtained a tax opinion from the Tax Consultants stating that the gains arising from the disposal of lands is capital in nature and henceforth, should not be subjected to income tax.
