Description	The Board of Directors of Turiya Berhad ("Turiya" or "the Company") wishes to inform that Turiya has yet to comply with the minimum 25% public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.02(1) of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements (“Required Public Shareholding Spread”). In accordance with the Record of Depositors of Turiya as at 28.08.2012, the public shareholding spread was 22.46% held in the hands of 4,646 public shareholders. Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad had vide its letter dated 2 July 2012, granted Turiya further extension of time of six (6) months from 1 July 2012 until 31 December 2012 to comply with the required public shareholding spread subject to the following conditions:- (i) Turiya must formulate a concrete rectification plan to address the shortfall within the extended timeframe; and (ii) Turiya must have in place procedures to ensure that substantial shareholders do not cause the public shareholding spread to further deteriorate. Meanwhile, the Company is continuously exploring various options available in order to comply with the public shareholding spread which include,amongst others, persuading its substantial shareholders to place out part of their shares at an appropriate time. This announcement is dated 13 September 2012.
